Why DOES XPS extruded board foaming agent use Co2

(Summary description) In the traditional extruded board production, the foaming agent for flame retardant board is mainly used freon. However, as it is known to all that Freon destroys the ozone layer, it needs to be replaced by an environmentally friendly foaming agent. Currently, the internationally recognized alternative foaming agent is CO2+ ethanol. But simply from the perspective of production, many people will be misled by "CO2 will be cheaper to use"! Although CO2 is much cheaper than FREon, after all, in the production process of extruded sheet, the use of foaming agent only accounts for 12%, and most of the proportion is from Ps. However, the use of CO2 foam requires higher standards for raw materials, and the production cost is much higher than that of Freon.
